The Islamic regime has been implicated in orchestrating two notable terrorist incidents earlier this year in Liège and Antwerp, Belgium, as reported by KAN News. This alarming revelation underscores serious geopolitical implications and raises concerns about international security.
Terror Attacks Linked to Tehran
According to Gert Vercauteren, the Director of the Belgian Coordination Unit for Threat Analysis (CUTA), both incidents were confirmed to be coordinated attacks aimed at Jewish targets globally, directed by Tehran. In a statement to French news outlet RTBF, he highlighted that these attacks were not isolated events but part of a broader strategy showcasing the regime’s commitment to targeting Jewish communities worldwide.
The incidents include a firebombing of a vehicle parked outside a Jewish business in Antwerp and a violent explosion at a synagogue in Liège. The Ashab al-Yamin Islamist group claimed responsibility for the Antwerp attack by releasing a video showing masked assailants igniting the vehicle. Notably, two minors were apprehended in connection with this incident. Despite the attackers’ erroneous belief that the vehicle’s owner was part of the Jewish community, he was, in fact, not Jewish but mistakenly identified as haredi (ultra-Orthodox).
Vercauteren emphasized that these attacks are part of a more systematic strategy to incite fear and chaos within Jewish populations. Furthermore, intelligence agencies foiled another planned attack targeting a synagogue in the Netherlands, showcasing the ongoing threat posed by extremist groups and the need for vigilant security measures throughout the region.
