Experience of Traveling 14 Hours in Qatar Airways’ Qsuite Business Class with a Baby: A Review

Traveling with family often presents unique challenges, but it can also lead to unforgettable experiences, especially when flying in style. Our recent trip aboard Qatar Airways’ Qsuite highlighted not just the comfort of this premium cabin but also the practicalities of managing travel with a young child. With an appealing cost and strategic use of travel rewards, our flights felt like a savvy investment for our family adventure.

Cost-Effective Travel with Avios

Navigating flight costs can be daunting, especially for families. For our journey, we utilized a mix of cash and Avios, a travel rewards currency offered by Qatar Airways. The total fare amounted to £217 (approximately $290) plus 70,000 Avios for each seat. Additionally, to include our child, Cora, we paid 10% of the adult fare—an extra £597. In total, we spent 140,000 Avios and slightly over £1,000. Given that a cash booking for each Qsuite would typically run into several thousand pounds, this arrangement was undoubtedly a smart use of our rewards.

Flying with a little one can often complicate the travel experience, but Qatar Airways’ Qsuite made it straightforward. The spacious setup provided ample room for us, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well the bassinet integrated into the console of my wife’s pod. Cora seemed to enjoy her time in the bassinet, making our journey much smoother than expected.

A Comfortable Experience for Families

Traveling can often be stressful, particularly when accompanied by a toddler. However, the luxurious environment of the Qsuite eased many of those usual travel tensions. The ability to recline fully and enjoy private space meant we could navigate the demands of parenting onboard more effectively. The seats’ design not only promotes comfort but also facilitates a seamless experience for families.

Given our positive experience, I would certainly consider booking a Qsuite in the future. The attentive service and well-designed interiors make it appealing for all types of travelers, especially families. The prospect of enjoying this level of comfort again makes future trips all the more exciting.

Exploring Other Airlines’ Offerings

While Qatar Airways impressed us with its Qsuite, I’m also eager to explore similar offerings from other airlines. The Cathay Airways’ Aria seat and All Nippon Airways’ “The Room” have caught my attention as potential alternatives for future travels. As a savvy traveler, I believe it’s essential to evaluate what’s available to ensure the best family travel experience possible.

In conclusion, utilizing travel rewards for flights can lead to significant savings and more enjoyable journeys for families. The Qsuite offered us ample space, comfort, and convenience, proving to be an excellent choice. As we plan our next family vacation, we will prioritize accommodations that not only cater to adults but also provide a comfortable environment for our child, ensuring a seamless and memorable travel experience.
