Qatar Airways is set to significantly broaden its global reach during the 2026-2027 winter season. With plans to add over 170 destinations to its network, this initiative underscores the airline’s commitment to enhancing global connectivity. As it ramps up operations to more than 186 weekly flights across various continents, Qatar Airways is prepared to offer passengers an optimal travel experience via its renowned hub at Hamad International Airport.

Enhanced Connectivity Across Africa

In a bid to strengthen its connections within Africa, Qatar Airways is resuming daily flights to Zanzibar in Tanzania starting October 25, 2026. This move highlights the airline’s dedication to bolstering tourism and trade throughout the continent. Additionally, from March 1, 2027, the airline will enhance its services to Seychelles, increasing its weekly flights from four to seven. This development is expected to provide travelers with improved access to this picturesque region, known for its stunning beaches and rich cultural heritage.

Meanwhile, Qatar Airways is also increasing its frequency of flights to Johannesburg, South Africa. From December 2, 2026, travelers will benefit from 18 weekly flights, up from 14, offering greater flexibility for both business and leisure travel plans.

Strengthening the Network in the Americas

In North America, Qatar Airways is set to enhance its service to Montréal, Canada, increasing its flights from five to seven weekly starting October 25, 2026. This 40% boost in seat capacity caters to the growing travel demand from the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East toward Canada.

Furthermore, Qatar Airways is expanding its footprint in the Asia Pacific region as well. Noteworthy changes include an increase in flights to Phuket, Thailand, from 14 to 21 weekly and a similar increase for services to Malé, Maldives. This strategic expansion allows adventure seekers greater options to explore these vibrant destinations.

Boosting Services in Europe and the Middle East

Qatar Airways continues to strengthen its presence in Europe by increasing flights to key gateway cities. Starting October 25, 2026, its services to London Heathrow will rise from 49 to 56 weekly flights, providing an 11% capacity boost to meet rising travel demand. Similarly, flights to Frankfurt, Germany, will increase from 18 to 21 weekly services starting December 7, 2026.

In the Middle East, Qatar Airways is expanding its daily flights by 13%. This includes the resumption of services to multiple destinations in Saudi Arabia, such as Qassim and Taif, starting in late October 2026. These enhancements aim to improve access and connectivity within the Kingdom, with plans to exceed 155 weekly flights.
