Thanksgiving is approaching quickly, and with it comes a cherished community event dedicated to helping those in need. This year marks the return of the 47th Annual Turkey Brigade, in partnership with Stew Leonard’s in Danbury. This initiative aims to provide Thanksgiving meals to families in our area through the generous contributions of local charities.
### A Dedicated Tradition of Giving
For nearly five decades, Stew Leonard’s has played a vital role in making Thanksgiving more joyous for countless families. Each year, the store donates a substantial number of turkeys to food banks, shelters, houses of worship, and various charitable organizations within the communities they serve. This tradition not only fosters goodwill but significantly contributes to the well-being of families who may be struggling during the holiday season.
