Minister Abdelatty expressed that both nations are committed to supporting an inclusive political process led by the Syrian people, which is pivotal in restoring peace.

Protecting Trade through the Strait of Hormuz

Minister Fidan mentioned that both countries are exploring solutions to address the challenges posed by this strategic chokepoint. They emphasized the need for the strait to remain open and for normal conditions to be restored to safeguard international supply chains.
This dialogue between Egypt and Turkey goes beyond mere security; both nations are also focused on enhancing their economic relations. Their goal is to increase bilateral trade, which currently stands at $9 billion, with an ambitious target of reaching $15 billion.
