Philippine Airlines and Qatar Airways are enhancing their collaboration, offering an expanded network of codeshare flights along with a new integrated loyalty program. This partnership aims to provide travelers more options and rewards, enriching their overall experience when flying.
Expanded Codeshare Connections
Starting June 1, 2026, the upgraded codeshare agreement will significantly improve connectivity for travelers. Philippine Airlines will feature its flight code on Qatar Airways’ services departing from major airports including Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL), Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB), Clark International Airport (CRK), and Francisco Bangoy International Airport (DVO). These flights will connect to Hamad International Airport (DOH) in Doha and extend to over 20 prominent cities in Europe, such as Paris, Rome, and Frankfurt.
In reciprocation, Qatar Airways will use its code for Philippine Airlines’ domestic flights. Visitors landing in Manila and Cebu can seamlessly connect to sought-after leisure destinations like Godofredo P. Ramos Airport (MPH) for Boracay and Puerto Princesa International Airport (PPS) for Palawan.
Integration of Loyalty Programs
In addition to the expanded codeshare, both airlines are linking their frequent flyer programs, maximizing benefits for avid travelers. Members of Qatar Airways’ Privilege Club and Philippine Airlines’ Mabuhay Miles will be able to earn and redeem points across both airlines’ routes. This integration marks Privilege Club’s 26th airline partnership, broadening its footprint in Southeast Asia. Travelers can now collect and utilize Avios on Philippine Airlines flights to various destinations, including Australasia, the United States, and domestic locations within the Philippines.
Conversely, Mabuhay Miles members can also earn points while flying with Qatar Airways, accessing an expansive range of destinations across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. This collaboration significantly enhances Philippine Airlines’ visibility in the Middle East, allowing broader network connectivity.
Members will further benefit from Avios for award flights on Qatar Airways and its oneworld partners, as well as through lifestyle perks like travel packages and shopping experiences. Mabuhay Miles members will enjoy a similar arrangement, gaining access to numerous rewards in travel, retail, and dining.
Recognition and Achievements
Both airlines have received accolades for their operational excellence. Philippine Airlines earned the title of Asia-Pacific’s Most Punctual Airline for 2025, showcasing its commitment to reliability and efficiency. Meanwhile, Qatar Airways was recognized as the World’s Best Airline by Skytrax in 2025, receiving additional honors for its consistent operational performance from Cirium.
This partnership between Philippine Airlines and Qatar Airways not only enhances travel accessibility but also signifies a mutual recognition of their strive for excellence in the aviation sector. As they work together to expand their reach and improve customer benefits, both airlines stand to gain from a shared vision of quality service and operational efficiency. Travelers can look forward to enjoying a more connected and rewarding journey as a result of this expanded partnership.
