Potential changes could be on the horizon, as flights to three of these cities are expected to resume in mid-September. Scheduled services to Malta, Sofia, and Venice may operate four times weekly using the Airbus A320. The adjustments extend to major regions like Asia-Pacific and Africa, where Qatar Airways has also suspended flights to a list of eight cities, including Canberra, Cebu, Djibouti, and more. Most of these routes are expected to return in September, utilizing the commonly deployed Airbus A320. Canberra will regain a daily service, albeit via Melbourne, to enhance traffic rights and increase operational efficiency.

Moreover, flights to Zanzibar will resume with a daily schedule on the Boeing 787-8. Other cities, such as Kano and Cebu, will also see the return of scheduled flights, albeit with adjustments in routing patterns designed for better reliability and efficiency.

Even in the Middle East, there have been significant route suspensions affecting ten key destinations like Aleppo, Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen, and Tehran. While these routes are critical for regional connectivity, they remain suspended due to ongoing instability and closed airspace over certain areas. Qatar Airways has removed all future flights to Aleppo as part of its re-evaluation.

For the rest, there are tentative plans to resume services in mid-September. The airline aims to reinstate flights to several locations, but notably, flights to Tehran are highly unlikely to return given the current geopolitical climate.
