Qatar and Turkey recently voiced their unwavering support for the Palestinian people during the United Nations General Assembly, directly addressing comments made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Netanyahu accused these nations of spreading falsehoods regarding Israel’s military operations in Gaza, prompting strong rebuttals from both countries’ representatives.
Rejection of Accusations by Turkey
The Turkish mission’s representative took a strong stance against Netanyahu’s allegations, labelling them as “malicious and unfounded.” During his address, he noted that the mass walkout of numerous delegations in reaction to Netanyahu’s speech served as a significant diplomatic condemnation of Israel’s actions. He emphasized that global leaders are increasingly unwilling to listen to a figure like Netanyahu, whom he described as having lost moral credibility.
