Sheikha Jawaher attends the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition

Doha, Qatar, recently saw the conclusion of the 22nd Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE) 2026, which showcased exceptional craftsmanship and design in the luxury sector. This significant event reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to bolstering local talent and creativity while providing a stage for international brands.

Her Highness’s Visit to DJWE 2026

On the final day of the exhibition, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al-Thani, the consort of His Highness the Amir, graced the venue with her presence. Her visit highlighted the continued enthusiasm of Qatar’s leadership for the luxury sector, reinforcing the importance of supporting indigenous design talent. Walking through the exhibition halls, Her Highness explored the latest collections of exquisite jewellery, premium timepieces, and rare gemstones showcased by both local and international brands.

A Platform for Local and International Talent

Organized by Qatar Business Events Corporation (QBEC) and supported by Visit Qatar, the DJWE ran from September 28 to October 3, with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, serving as its patron. This year’s event featured 49 exhibitors offering over 500 brands from 30 countries, solidifying DJWE’s reputation as a leading luxury exhibition in the region. One of the standout features was the return of three dedicated pavilions, including the Qatari Designers Pavilion, which showcased six emerging talents, promoting local creativity on a grand scale.

International Collaboration and Educational Initiatives

This edition of DJWE also saw the participation of the globally renowned auction house Christie’s, which has a rich history spanning 260 years. Christie’s specialists contributed to the newly launched DJWE Studio, offering engaging talks and interactive experiences that delved into current trends in jewellery and timepiece markets. To foster educational growth, numerous workshops, panel discussions, and mentorship opportunities connected budding designers with established industry leaders, further elevating the exhibition’s profile.

Additionally, the event featured complementary programs such as a five-part entrepreneurship series led by Qatar Development Bank in collaboration with Scale7, focusing on essential skills like funding and brand development. Influencer talks and masterclasses organized by Visit Qatar, in partnership with the Picasso Institute, further enriched the experience for attendees.

A Lasting Impact on Qatar’s Luxury Landscape

Open to the public and offering free entry with online registration, DJWE welcomed visitors on weekdays and weekends, allowing art and luxury enthusiasts to explore the impressive range of offerings. Over its two-decade history, DJWE has evolved into an instrumental platform that connects local designers, international brands, and industry professionals with both B2B and B2C audiences.

The 2026 edition of DJWE not only reinforced Doha’s status as a premier destination for specialized luxury events but also provided visitors with exclusive insights into extraordinary craftsmanship. The presence of Her Highness on the final day added a remarkable touch to an exhibition that successfully combined heritage, innovation, and collaboration while affirming its vital role in Qatar’s cultural and economic landscape.
