The Navantia shipyard in San Fernando has successfully launched its sixth corvette for the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF), named HMS ALMADINAH. This marks a significant event as it is the first vessel delivered under the latest contract with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defence. During his remarks, Chairman Ricardo DomÃnguez emphasized the collaborative effort involved in meeting the strict deadlines and high standards set for the Avante 2200 program. He stated, “We are proud to declare that all vessels across both corvette series have been delivered punctually, within budget, and consistent with our localization commitments to Saudi Arabia, particularly with GAMI.”
