Airbus Defense and Space is exploring potential collaborations with Türkiye’s Scientific and Technological Research Council (TUBITAK) in key areas such as lunar exploration, human spaceflight, and satellite communication systems. Additionally, Mirra recalled Airbus’s prior involvement in the Turksat satellite program, expressing a clear interest in both sustaining and expanding this cooperative relationship. International Astronautical Congress in Antalya
The discussions come ahead of the 77th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026), which is set to take place in Antalya, Türkiye. Organized by Türkiye’s Ministry of Industry and Technology alongside the Turkish Space Agency, this congress presents a significant platform for presenting advancements and research in the space sector.
More than 1,800 abstracts have already been submitted by Turkish organizations for the technical conference, showcasing Türkiye’s commitment to contributing to the global dialogue on space exploration and technology.
