Turquoise Recently Unveils Turkey’s Largest Superyacht to Date

One fortunate superyacht owner recently took delivery of a remarkable new vessel, marking a significant milestone in luxury yachting.

The Marvelous Arrival of Angelique

This week, Turkey’s largest yacht, formerly known as Project Vento, was officially handed over to its owner at Turquoise Yacht’s shipyard in Istanbul. Now dubbed Angelique, the superyacht spans an impressive 288 feet and showcases extraordinary craftsmanship and design. Collaboration with renowned H2 Yacht Design has brought Angelique to life, resulting in a stunning vessel that features a striking “Tour de France” blue steel hull complemented by an elegant aluminum superstructure.

With a gross tonnage of 2,646 GT, Angelique offers generous space for a variety of activities. The main deck’s aft area is graced with a luxurious 21-foot counterflow pool, while the owner’s deck boasts an enclosed area that can easily transform into a winter garden. This versatile design makes the yacht perfect for both relaxation and social gatherings.

A Haven for Leisure and Entertainment

On the bridge deck, sunbathing areas await, and the sun deck is equipped for outdoor movie nights, complete with a cinema setup and a kitchen featuring a teppanyaki grill. The beach club serves as the social heart of the yacht, offering a bar and folding side terraces perfect for entertaining by the water. Additionally, a massage room enhances the wellness offerings, and there’s a drive-in tender dock for water toys. Notably, the touch-and-go helipad on the foredeck can cleverly be converted into a basketball court for high-energy fun.

The interior design reflects an elevated aesthetic drawn from a previous Turquoise project, the 253-foot yacht Go. Blue accents mirror the stunning hull, while stainless steel elements add a modern flair. Signature features include a statement bar in the main salon and art installations, such as a sculpture by Dale Chihuly in the atrium. For indoor leisure, a games table and another cinema screen offer various forms of entertainment, while a fully equipped gym and spa, featuring a sauna and hammam, emphasize wellness.

Luxurious Accommodations and State-of-the-Art Performance

Onboard, the owner is treated to an opulent suite complete with a lounge, his-and-hers dressing rooms, an office, and access to a private terrace with a Jacuzzi. The yacht accommodates additional guests with two VIP cabins and four uniquely designed guest cabins on the main deck. Performance-wise, Angelique is powered by dual MTU 12V4000 M65L engines, capable of propelling the yacht to a top speed of 17 knots, ensuring a thrilling experience on the open waters.

Burak Akgül, CEO of Turquoise Yachts, expressed pride in the achievement, remarking on the collective effort of the team and partners involved. “As the second—and largest—of five custom yachts from our 80-metre platform, Angelique sets a new benchmark for our capabilities,” he stated.

Charter Opportunities Aboard Angelique

For those interested in embarking on a luxurious summer adventure, Angelique is available for charters through Edmiston, starting at approximately $1.4 million (1.2 million euros). Whether your pleasure lies in relaxation or high-energy entertainment, Angelique promises an unparalleled experience on the high seas.
