Seabourn Reveals Summer 2029 Ocean Voyage Schedule, Highlighting Egypt’s Comeback and New Routes in Northern Europe | Cruise News

Seabourn Cruise Line has unveiled its summer ocean voyage lineup for 2029, featuring 166 sailings to over 180 destinations. This exciting program spans various regions, including the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Alaska, Canada, and New England. One of the highlights is the cruise line’s long-awaited return to Egypt after more than five years, along with a new seven-day itinerary in the Gulf of Bothnia, making maiden calls in Northern Europe. Additionally, passengers will find extended port stays that grant them more time to explore each destination.

Exploring the Mediterranean: A Welcoming Return

From March to November 2029, Seabourn Ovation will take guests on 21 unique itineraries across the Western Mediterranean, Italy, and other extraordinary locations. A significant aspect of this lineup is Seabourn’s much-anticipated return to Egypt, where selected voyages will offer an overnight stay in Alexandria. This extended visit allows passengers extra time to explore iconic sites like Cairo and the Great Pyramids of Giza.

Moreover, specialized voyages will focus on cultural experiences, such as the Italian Coast and Fireworks Over Corsica, as well as Pyramids & Evening at Ephesus. These sailings aim to highlight the rich heritage of the region. Notably, Seabourn will introduce visits to less-explored ports like Kapsali on the Greek island of Kythira, which will mark its maiden call.

Passengers will also have the chance to enjoy complimentary experiences like the Evening at Ephesus, a private tour featuring classical music amid the illuminated ruins of this ancient city. Furthermore, the Shopping with the Chef program allows guests to experience local markets with Seabourn’s chefs, diving into unique culinary traditions.

North to the Gulf of Bothnia and Beyond

From May to September 2029, Seabourn Quest will embark on adventures that take passengers through Scandinavia, the British Isles, Iceland, and Greenland. New this season is a seven-day voyage into the Gulf of Bothnia, extending Baltic itineraries further north and making maiden calls at ports like Härnösand and Kemi in Sweden and Finland. This fresh route showcases less-visited destinations, offering travelers a chance to explore unconventional locales.

The season will also celebrate first-time visits to cities like Alta and Frøya, while extended stays in popular areas such as Bordeaux, Rouen, Helsinki, and Edinburgh will provide ample time for exploration. A noteworthy stop will be Turku, Finland, as it celebrates its 900th anniversary. This historic city offers a rich blend of Nordic culture, architecture, and attractions.

Travelers can customize their journeys by combining multiple itineraries into extended trips ranging from 14 to over 28 days, allowing for a deeper exploration of different geographic regions.

Alaska and Canada: Coastal Wonders Await

Seabourn Encore will also head to Alaska between May and September 2029, providing seven-day voyages between Juneau and Vancouver. For those seeking more adventure, itineraries spanning 10- and 11-days will reach further north to destinations like Valdez and Whittier. All Alaskan sailings will include glacier viewings accompanied by insights from Seabourn’s Expedition Team, ensuring an enriched understanding of the area’s wildlife and landscapes.

Following the Alaskan route, Seabourn Quest will turn its focus to Canada and New England, offering 12- and 13-day voyages from September to October 2029. These itineraries highlight the region’s maritime history and French Canadian culture, featuring overnight stays in cities such as Boston, Quebec City, and St. John’s. With calls at charming smaller destinations, guests will enjoy shore experiences centered on local culture, cuisine, and natural beauty.

In summary, Seabourn’s 2029 summer ocean voyage program promises a diverse range of experiences, allowing travelers to engage deeply with the destinations they visit while enjoying unparalleled luxury and service onboard.
