Carlton Tel Aviv was named Israel’s Leading Hotel for 2026, the American Colony in Jerusalem secured the title of Israel’s Leading Boutique Hotel for an impressive tenth time, and David InterContinental Tel Aviv achieved recognition as Israel’s Leading Conference Hotel for the fifth consecutive year.

The awards were announced during the World Travel Awards 2026 Middle East Gala Ceremony held on September 13 in Dubai. This recognition comes at a pivotal time for Israel’s hospitality sector, which grapples with challenges and a noticeable decline in foreign tourism. The global accolades serve as a testament to the resilience and quality of these renowned hotels, despite the hurdles faced by the industry.
Carlton Tel Aviv: A New Era
Among the winners, Carlton Tel Aviv stands out as the flagship recipient, recognized as Israel’s Leading Hotel for 2026. This accolade comes just a year after the hotel’s previous success as Israel’s Leading Business Hotel, marking an exciting evolution for the establishment. Situated along the scenic Tel Aviv coastline and close to the marina, the Carlton has been a cornerstone of hospitality for over four decades. The hotel features a mix of 555 rooms, including 39 luxurious suites, alongside premium amenities such as a spa, a rooftop pool, and a dedicated business lounge.
In the past year, Carlton Tel Aviv has invested approximately NIS 40 million in renovations, rejuvenating around 105 rooms and introducing a new room category, enhancing its charm and appeal for guests.

The American Colony Hotel in Jerusalem achieved an exceptional milestone, earning the title of Israel’s Leading Boutique Hotel for the tenth time. This historic hotel has been a fixture in Jerusalem since its original construction in 1860, showcasing a beautiful blend of Middle Eastern and European architectural styles. Today, it boasts 85 rooms and suites across four meticulously preserved buildings.

David InterContinental: The Hub for Conferences
The third winner, David InterContinental in Tel Aviv, has been acknowledged as Israel’s Leading Conference Hotel for the fifth time. Located right on the beach and rising to 25 stories, this hotel features 555 rooms and a vast conference and exhibition area covering more than 3,400 square meters. It also houses 12 meeting rooms and a grand ballroom, making it an ideal venue for business events, conventions, and delegations.
This recognition comes after substantial upgrades and renovations, which have further enhanced the hotel’s offerings, ensuring it remains a premier choice for hosting major events.
