Exploring the Qatar Pavilion
Leading a delegation comprising 40 partners—including hotels, resorts, and tourism organizations like Qatar Airways—Visit Qatar will unveil its dedicated pavilion located at Stand S8-210. This two-story, 700-square-meter space aims to provide visitors with an engaging experience of Qatar’s diverse tourism ecosystem. Through a rich blend of visual media, sound, and interactive storytelling, attendees will appreciate the country’s breathtaking landscapes, cultural heritage, and various attractions.
Moreover, the pavilion will feature cultural showcases such as traditional sword craftsmanship and Arabic calligraphy, along with a Qatar F1 experience and an interactive photo booth. To ensure that visitors can fully immerse themselves in Qatari culture, the pavilion will also offer local delicacies, including Arabic coffee, dates, and date ice cream. These elements not only aim to promote Qatar’s tourism but also to allow attendees to experience the warmth of traditional Qatari hospitality.
A Rich Calendar of Events
A pivotal element of Qatar’s presentation will be the newly launched Qatar Calendar for 2026-2027, which features more than 560 events spanning sports, culture, entertainment, and family activities. This comprehensive program highlights significant international events such as the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2026, MotoGP, and the Qatar Grand Prix set for November 2027. Beyond sports, attendees can also look forward to music festivals and culinary experiences that showcase the richness of Qatari culture.
These events are designed to cater to a myriad of interests, ensuring that visitors have diverse experiences to look forward to during their stay. With performances by renowned international artists and special events like the Qatar International Food Festival, there will be no shortage of entertainment options in Qatar.
Qatar’s Growing Appeal as a Travel Destination
Qatar’s tourism landscape continues to flourish, with the country welcoming 5.1 million international tourists in 2025, representing a 3.7% increase from the previous year. The impressive hotel occupancy rate exceeded 71%, contributing to a remarkable QAR8.3 billion in accommodation revenue—a 12% rise year-on-year.
In response to this increasing demand, Qatar is committed to upgrading its tourism infrastructure. The Visit Qatar app has seen significant growth, recording over 230,000 users in 2026, compared to around 105,000 the year prior. Additionally, a new unified digital ticketing platform is set to launch by the end of 2026, making travel more accessible and convenient for visitors.
Through its participation at WTM London, Visit Qatar is not only showcasing its exceptional offerings but also inviting international travel partners to engage with its rich tapestry of cultural, leisure, and business experiences. This effort underlines Qatar’s commitment to becoming a year-round destination for tourists and bolstering its connections with global travel markets.
