Held annually since 2007, ISC 2026 is being organized in partnership with the Information Security Association and Türkiye’s Cyber Security Directorate. The two-day conference, taking place on October 20-21, will operate under the theme “Cyber Wars in the New World Order.” Key sub-topics include cyber resilience, deterrence, platform cybersecurity, and international competition in cyber espionage.

Mustafa Alkan, the president of the Information Security Association, emphasized the event’s importance as a platform to disseminate research and foster collaboration between universities, industry, and the public sector. “Traditional warfare and its conventional weapons are becoming obsolete,” Alkan stated. “Cyber wars have emerged as the new frontiers in national defense, necessitating a heightened focus on cybersecurity as a core element of both defense and offensive strategies.” He described the dynamic and unpredictable nature of cyber warfare, highlighting its complexities compared to conventional warfare.
